Robert Sowell rejoins BakerHostetler as partner on Commercial Litigation team in Orlando

Robert Sowell has rejoined BakerHostetler’s Orlando office as a partner in the firm’s Litigation Practice Group and as a member of its Commercial Litigation team.

Sowell returns to BakerHostetler after four years as an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Middle District of Florida, where he served in both the Criminal and Civil divisions. While at the U.S. Attorney’s Office he prosecuted and served as lead trial counsel in matters involving wire fraud, tax fraud, cybercrime, health care fraud, money laundering, firearms and narcotics trafficking. In the Civil Division he litigated affirmative civil claims, including violations of the False Claims Act and the Anti‑Kickback Statute, and defended the United States and federal agencies in all phases of litigation.

Prior to joining the Department of Justice, Sowell was a commercial litigation associate at BakerHostetler, focusing on complex commercial litigation including business disputes related to fraud, breach of fiduciary duty and intellectual property. He joins BakerHostetler as a partner in the firm’s Litigation Practice Group and Commercial Litigation team.
