Leadership Pittsburgh CEO to Join Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney Government Relations Team
"Jenn Beer will join Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney in Pittsburgh as a principal in the government relations practice, bringing government affairs and public policy expertise."
Beer will join the firm after a search process and transition period to identify Leadership Pittsburgh’s next leader; she will remain in her current role and work with the organization’s Board to ensure continuity and stability during the transition.
Beer brings a background in government affairs and public policy. She joined Leadership Pittsburgh as President & CEO in 2022; under her leadership the organization expanded alumni programming, increased corporate and foundation funding, completed a rebrand, and emphasized broader regional engagement to strengthen regional leadership through programs, partnerships and connections. Beer has said she will leverage her business, nonprofit and government experience to support clients in navigating complex public policy issues.
Prior to Leadership Pittsburgh, Beer served for fifteen years at the Allegheny Conference on Community Development, where she was most recently vice president for government affairs. In that capacity she directed state and regional public policy issues for the Greater Pittsburgh Chamber of Commerce and was involved in efforts including state public pension reform, increases in tax credits for community development initiatives, comprehensive state transportation funding, and other business climate and local government initiatives.
Earlier in her career, Beer served as government affairs manager with the Society of Interventional Radiology and as a legislative assistant to Pennsylvania State Representative Dan Frankel.
Firm leaders said Beer’s addition will add depth and strength to Buchanan’s Pittsburgh government relations group and support the firm’s strategic growth across the commonwealth.
