Barnes & Thornburg Expands Public Finance Team with Four New Hires in Minneapolis, Los Angeles and Phoenix

Megan McCarthy joins Barnes & Thornburg as a partner in the Minneapolis office. She will be part of the firm’s Government Services and Finance Department, working on public finance matters.
Benjamin Vernon joins as a partner in the Los Angeles office and will serve in the firm’s Government Services and Finance Department, focusing on public finance work.
Donna Brady joins Barnes & Thornburg in Los Angeles as counsel and will be part of the Government Services and Finance Department, contributing to the firm’s public finance practice.
Garrett Shaikh joins the firm’s newly opened Phoenix office as an associate and will work in the Government Services and Finance Department on public finance matters.
Their arrivals form part of Barnes & Thornburg’s previously announced expansion that added 35 lawyers, including 25 partners, to its Government Services and Finance Department across 10 offices and three new markets in Baltimore, Denver and Phoenix. With the inclusion of these hires, the firm has brought on 39 lateral attorneys and positions itself among the leading firms advising public- and private-sector clients on complex public finance transactions and infrastructure projects.
