McDermott Will & Schulte appoints Andrea Giaretta as partner

Giaretta advises sponsors, international banks, alternative lenders and corporates on high‑profile, complex financing transactions, covering real estate finance, leveraged and acquisition finance, structured finance and distressed debt. He has significant experience in high‑value, often cross‑border transactions and maintains established client relationships. He joins McDermott as a partner from Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, where he held the role of senior associate.
The firm said Giaretta’s experience in cross‑border financing will immediately strengthen McDermott’s Milan platform and broaden the range of services offered across Europe. His appointment reflects McDermott’s continued investment in banking & finance and private equity‑related transactions in Europe.
