Fox Rothschild Welcomes Labor & Employment Partner Ruth Vafek to Minneapolis

Vafek brings in‑house experience as an HR consultant for a California tech company and has worked in the restaurant industry and in government. She joins Fox Rothschild at the partner level. An experienced employment lawyer, Vafek helps businesses identify, prevent and resolve workplace issues to minimize litigation risk and defends employers in individual and class actions as well as regulatory enforcement matters.
In her practice, Vafek drafts employment agreements, employee handbooks, human resources policies and nondisclosure/confidentiality agreements; leads internal investigations, advises employers and resolves employee complaints and grievances; represents employers and executive‑level employees on restrictive covenants such as noncompete agreements; and defends employers in litigation involving Title VII, the ADA, the ADEA and FCRA claims.
Vafek earned her J.D. from Santa Clara University and her B.A. from Goucher College.
