Armstrong Teasdale Adds Tax Partner Brandon Bickerton to St. Louis Office

Bickerton is a seasoned tax attorney with more than a decade of experience providing legal counsel on comprehensive tax planning, compliance and advisory services. His practice focuses on federal, state and local tax controversy matters, with an emphasis on navigating the administrative process. He has extensive experience advising on Subchapter S corporation matters and counseling founders, private equity sponsors and high-net-worth individuals on the qualification, structuring and monetization of Qualified Small Business Stock, including gain exclusion planning and audit defense. He also has analyzed multistate income and sales tax nexus for varied taxpayers and negotiated voluntary disclosures with taxing authorities to resolve historical tax exposures and minimize penalties.
Bickerton is joining Armstrong Teasdale as a partner. Prior to joining the firm, he served as a partner at Polsinelli in the St. Louis area and before that was a senior tax associate at KPMG, where he advised clients on matters including corporate mergers and acquisitions, international tax and tax controversy. He holds a J.D. from Saint Louis University School of Law, an M.B.A. and a B.S. in finance from Missouri State University.
