Pérez-Llorca appoints Felipe Suescún de Roa as litigation partner in Colombia

Suescún de Roa brings more than 20 years of professional experience and will work within the firm’s Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice. His background focuses on national and international arbitration, dispute resolution and business law.
Throughout his career he has been involved in complex arbitrations across a range of jurisdictions, seats and applicable laws, including Argentina, Colombia, France, Mexico, New York and Switzerland, as well as cases governed by the UNIDROIT Principles. He has acted primarily under the rules of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce (BCC).
He is widely recognised in Colombia and across Latin America by independent rankings, guides and directories, including Legal 500, Chambers & Partners, Latin Lawyer and Lexology.
Suescún de Roa holds a law degree and a specialization in Commercial Law from Universidad de los Andes and an LL.M. from Georgetown University. In the academic sphere he has served as a professor of Obligations, Civil Liability and Business Law at Universidad de los Andes and as a lecturer in Arbitration and Corporate Law in programmes offered by the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce, the National University of Colombia and the Superintendence of Companies.
