Chris Williamson has joined Watson Farley & Williams as a partner in London.

Williamson is a commodities and international trade expert with nearly 25 years of combined legal, commercial and front‑office experience across the commodities, natural resources, banking and structured finance sectors. He joins WFW at partner level.

His career includes senior leadership roles at Deutsche Bank, ICBC Standard Bank and Hartree Partners, where he worked directly with metals, energy, carbon and credit trading teams to structure and execute a wide range of physical and financial commodities transactions. He also had early training in private practice. Williamsonspecialises in commodities and international trade, with particular relevance to metals, mining and structured finance, as reflected in the firm’s stated strategy for the practice.
