Ilir Mujalovic and Harald Halbhuber have joined Cleary Gottlieb as partners in the firm’s expanding capital markets practice; both are based in New York. Mujalovic will serve as head of Cleary’s equity capital markets practice.

Ilir Mujalovic is known for his work in the capital markets space and joins Cleary as a partner. He has extensive experience advising on initial public offerings, follow-on equity offerings, convertible bonds, high-yield and investment-grade debt offerings, and other financing transactions. He works with clients across healthcare, telecommunications, energy, consumer retail, and financial institutions, and is a go-to advisor for biotechnology, medical technology, diagnostics and healthcare services transactions. The announcement also notes Mujalovic’s prior in-house experience at a renowned investment bank and highlights his collaborative approach and practice-building skills.

Harald Halbhuber joins Cleary as a partner with a practice focused on complex transactions, including a broad array of equity and debt financings across company lifecycles and credit profiles, spin-offs and other corporate reorganizations, debt restructurings, and equity derivatives. He acts for both issuers and underwriters and regularly counsels public companies on disclosures, financial reporting, and corporate governance. Halbhuber is also recognized as a thought leader, academic instructor, and author on developments in the securities laws.
