Adena Goza Joins Holland & Knight as Partner in Public Policy & Regulation Group

Ms. Goza brings more than a decade of experience in federal finance and energy law, having served in senior legal roles at the U.S. Department of Energy since 2015. As acting deputy chief counsel for the Office of Energy Dominance Financing (formerly the Loan Programs Office), she represented the DOE in major federal financings, including corporate, project finance and hybrid transactions, and served as in-house counsel on transactions administered by the office, including a $2.5 billion financing of three electric vehicle battery cell manufacturing facilities and a $2 billion financing for a critical minerals processing facility. Her tenure at the DOE also included service as a Presidential Management Fellow with the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy, Legislative Affairs, where she advised senior leadership on energy legislation and appropriations and coordinated briefings on Capitol Hill.
Prior to her government service, Ms. Goza practiced at New York law firms focusing on transactional and corporate matters. She joins Holland & Knight at the partner level. Ms. Goza holds a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center and a B.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles. She is not yet admitted to the District of Columbia Bar; she is admitted to the New York Bar only and will practice in Washington under the supervision of lawyers licensed to practice in the District of Columbia.
