Private Equity Partner Peng Yu Rejoins Weil, Gotshal & Manges in Hong Kong
"Weil, Gotshal & Manges has reappointed Peng Yu as a partner in its Global Private Equity Group in Hong Kong; he will work in private equity and mergers and acquisitions."
Peng focuses his practice exclusively on private equity matters and mergers and acquisitions. He has extensive experience advising global and regional private equity and corporate clients on a wide range of strategically important transactions, including buyouts, take-privates, PIPEs, growth capital investments, divestitures, joint ventures and other cross-border transactions, particularly those with a China nexus.
He rejoins Weil as a partner from Kirkland & Ellis LLP, where he was a partner in that firm’s Hong Kong office. Peng started his career at Weil’s Hong Kong office and is the 18th partner to return to the Firm since the beginning of 2023.
