Weil, Gotshal & Manges Welcomes Back Benjamin Rapp as Partner to Lead German Tax Practice
"Benjamin Rapp rejoins Weil, Gotshal & Manges as a partner to head its German tax practice, focusing on transaction tax law and strengthening the firm's Corporate/M&A and transaction tax capabilities."
Rapp is an experienced tax lawyer whose practice focuses on transaction tax law. He was previously part of Weil for several years and was promoted to partner at the firm. He returns after roughly two years away and is familiar with many of the firm's clients, its culture and its strategic positioning.
Weil says Rapp’s return will further strengthen the firm’s interdisciplinary expertise in the Corporate/M&A space and bolster its capabilities on Corporate/M&A, Private Equity and transaction-related tax issues. With his arrival, Weil is welcoming back its 19th partner globally since 2023, underscoring the firm’s platform and ability to attract and retain senior transactional tax lawyers.
