Burges Salmon appoints James Maynard as partner to strengthen Corporate Technology practice

James brings more than 20 years’ experience advising fast-growth businesses, from scale-ups to multi-billion-pound public companies. He specialises in technology-focused corporate and M&A work and will join Burges Salmon at partner level.
His career combines a strong foundation in private practice M&A and corporate finance with senior in-house roles at the intersection of technology, growth and capital markets. Prior to joining Burges Salmon, James served as General Counsel at e-commerce platform Farfetch, solar developer PVcase and gaming company Dream Games, and previously held the role of Senior Legal Counsel at Sky. He has a track record of building legal functions, scaling teams and delivering multi-jurisdictional M&A and corporate finance strategies for founders, investors and operators in the tech sector.
