Simpson Thacher Welcomes Jared Wilner to Lead Insurance Transactional and Regulatory Team
"Simpson Thacher has hired Jared Wilner as Partner in its Mergers and Acquisitions Practice to lead the Insurance Transactional and Regulatory team, focusing on insurance M&A, reinsurance and regulatory matters."
At Simpson Thacher, Wilner will work on insurance mergers and acquisitions, reinsurance and regulatory matters, including joint ventures, reinsurance transactions, insurtech and insurance product development, as well as related regulatory compliance, corporate governance and bespoke structures designed to meet the needs of insurers and asset managers.
Prior to joining the firm, Wilner served at the New York State Department of Financial Services, where he helped shape policy responses to issues arising from the 2008 financial crisis, and later served as corporate counsel in Prudential Insurance’s life and annuities business units. He brings extensive experience advising domestic and international insurers, reinsurers, intermediaries and other industry participants.
