Wilson is an energy regulatory attorney who advises a wide range of stakeholders in the energy industry on regulatory matters before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), project development, and complex transactions. His clients include investor-owned utilities, generation and transmission cooperatives, independent power producers and transmission companies, energy marketers, large industrial consumers, financial institutions, natural gas pipelines, and shippers. He has significant experience with RTO/ISO market rules and issues under the Federal Power Act, Natural Gas Act, Public Utility Regulatory Policies Act, and Public Utility Holding Company Act.
Prior to joining Willkie, Wilson served as a trial attorney in FERC’s Office of Administrative Litigation and as a legal advisor to a Commissioner. Before his legal career, he worked in engineering roles in the energy industry involving transmission planning, production cost modeling, substation design, and NERC program administration. He joins Willkie from Troutman Pepper.
