Freeths Nottingham strengthens Trusts, Estates and Tax team with senior appointments

Carly Harwood joins Freeths as a Senior Associate with extensive experience in estate administration and estate planning. She is noted for managing sensitive, high-value matters and will work within the firm’s private client practice focusing on estate and succession matters.
Tom Newton joins Freeths as a Senior Associate with a strong background in estates work and particular expertise advising on international assets. He has passed all four STEP exams and is in the process of upgrading his STEP membership to full, reflecting his specialism in private client and cross-border estate planning.
Senior Associate Lizzie Connolly, who has been at Freeths since August 2024, is moving from the firm’s Court of Protection team to the TET team to work closely with Managing Associate Sarah Phillips on trust administration. She brings experience in handling complex, sensitive and ongoing client relationships to the team.
