White & Case adds lateral partner teams including Richard Brand, Jonathan Polkes and Elizabeth Holland

Richard Brand, Jonathan Polkes and Elizabeth Holland have joined White & Case as members of the firm, each arriving with a lateral partner team.

Richard Brand joined White & Case with a lateral team in 2025–early 2026 and spoke about the value of moving to the firm with a group of partners and how the firm’s bespoke integration process benefits clients, teams and the firm.

Jonathan Polkes joined White & Case with a lateral team in 2025–early 2026 and spoke about the advantages of transitioning with a group of partners and the firm’s tailored approach to integration.

Elizabeth Holland joined White & Case with a lateral team in 2025–early 2026 and likewise emphasized the value of moving to the firm with other partners and the benefits of White & Case’s integration process.

White & Case Chair Heather McDevitt commented that multiple-partner hires can ease transitions and accelerate integration by providing multiple points of contact and making clients more comfortable. McDevitt added that the firm places importance on processes to maximize the success of those joining.

Since January 2025 White & Case has hired 63 lateral partners; 24 of those joined in eight groups ranging from two to four partners each.
