Squire Patton Boggs appoints Jane O'Grady as Head of Intellectual Property & Technology in Dublin

Jane O'Grady has joined Squire Patton Boggs in Dublin to lead its Intellectual Property & Technology practice.

Ms. O'Grady is a solicitor and a registered trade mark and design attorney with over a decade's experience advising on intellectual property, technology law and data privacy. She joins Squire Patton Boggs as head of the firm's Intellectual Property & Technology practice.

She focuses on intellectual property and data protection, with particular experience advising on the IP and data protection aspects of M&A, especially cross-border transactions. She is a registered trade mark and design attorney in Ireland and the EU and advises on the protection, commercialisation and infringement of intellectual property. She also advises on all aspects of privacy law, including GDPR, data subject access requests and cross-border transfers of personal data.

Ms. O'Grady represents domestic and multinational clients across sectors such as IT, media, automotive, fintech and financial services, and in particular pharmaceutical manufacturing and supply, including medical devices and diagnostic technologies. She advises on complex commercial contracts including outsourcing, supply and distribution agreements, software licences, service level agreements, and website and end-user licence agreements.

Ms. O'Grady joins from Byrne Wallace Shields, where she started her career in 2014. Her qualifications include a BCL and LLB from University College Cork, an LPC from The College of Law, Chester, and a Certificate in Trade Mark Law from the Law Society of Ireland (held since 2015).
