Mr. Powell is a seasoned transactional lawyer with deep expertise in private equity and middle-market M&A. He advises sponsors and their portfolio companies, C-suite executives and founders on complex buy-side and sell-side transactions, with an emphasis on risk mitigation and practical solutions. His work also encompasses equity financings, strategic investments, joint ventures and corporate governance. Mr. Powell’s industry experience includes aerospace and defense, government services, industrial manufacturing, food and beverage, retail, technology, chemical distribution, consumer goods, third-party logistics and life sciences.
Mr. Powell joins Squire Patton Boggs as a partner. He earned a B.B.A., magna cum laude, from Howard University and a J.D., cum laude, from Southern Methodist University.
