Squire Patton Boggs appoints William Liu as partner in London
"William Liu has joined Squire Patton Boggs in London as a partner in the Financial Services/Structured Finance practice. He will work on cross-border financings and restructurings, joining from K&L Gates."
He joins Squire Patton Boggs from K&L Gates and becomes part of the firm’s rapidly growing Structured Finance team led by Ranajoy Basu. William represents corporate trustees, facility and collateral agents in the US and UK on a wide range of cross-border financing transactions, including complex loan financings and restructurings. He has extensive experience with highly leveraged and structured transactions and regularly advises on distressed financings, workouts and insolvency-related matters. He has acted on multiple award-winning capital markets transactions, including IFLR Europe Awards 'High Yield Bond Deal of the Year' in 2016, 2018, 2019 and 2020.
William is admitted to practice in New York and is a Registered Foreign Lawyer in England and Wales. He graduated from the University of California, Berkeley and holds a J.D. from University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) School of Law (2007).
