Bird & Bird strengthens London Tech & Comms team with partner Gordon Moir
"Bird & Bird hires telecoms, regulatory and antitrust expert Gordon Moir as a partner and legal director Marcus Bagnall into its London Tech & Comms team to work on telecoms, regulatory, data protection and competition matters."
Gordon Moir joined Bird & Bird on 28 January as a partner in the Tech & Comms team. He is an internationally recognised expert in telecoms, regulatory and antitrust matters with over 25 years’ experience across senior and executive in‑house and private practice roles. His practice spans telecoms, regulatory, antitrust and strategic advisory work, supporting clients on complex issues of market access and the regulation of next‑generation telecoms services. He also advises on data protection, interception and complex cross‑border issues affecting telecoms companies, and has extensive expertise in the legal frameworks impacting content broadcasting. Moir has advised telecoms and industry bodies on significant competition law cases at both UK and European levels and will work closely with the firm’s Competition team.
Marcus Bagnall will join Moir’s team as legal director, starting on 16 February.
