Sidley Welcomes Back International Trade Partner Justin Becker in Washington, D.C.
"Sidley Austin welcomes back Justin Becker to its Washington, D.C. Global Arbitration, Trade & Advocacy practice, where he will work on trade remedy matters including antidumping and countervailing duty proceedings."
Becker joins Sidley as a partner, returning to the firm after nine years. He most recently served as a partner in the Trade practice at Baker McKenzie and earlier in his career worked at the U.S. Department of Commerce’s International Trade Administration.
He advises clients on a range of trade remedy matters, including antidumping and countervailing duty proceedings before the Department of Commerce and the International Trade Commission, Section 301 and Section 232 investigations, and contested reciprocal and other tariffs under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act. He has appeared before the U.S. Court of International Trade and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, has argued before a Chapter 19 NAFTA panel, and is listed on the USMCA Dispute Settlement Panels Roster on behalf of the United States.
