Sidley Adds Partner Timothy FitzSimons to M&A and Private Equity Group in Chicago

Mr. FitzSimons has more than two decades of experience representing clients on public and private merger and acquisition transactions totaling more than US$200 billion. He represents public clients in corporate governance, shareholder activism and proxy fight matters, and advises public and private companies on complex M&A transactions. His broad transactional experience includes tender offers, carve-outs, cross-border transactions, stock-for-stock mergers and deSPAC transactions. He has deep experience advising special committees and independent directors on conflict-of-interest transactions, including take-private transactions, and regularly counsels public companies and their boards on governance matters. He joins Sidley from King & Spalding, where he was a partner in the firm’s Corporate practice.
