Sidley Austin Adds Partner John Thomas to Energy, Transportation and Infrastructure Practice in New York

John Thomas has joined Sidley Austin as a partner in the firm's Energy, Transportation and Infrastructure practice in New York.

Mr. Thomas joins from Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP, where he was a partner in the Corporate & Financial Services Department and Co-Chair of the Energy & Commodities Practice Group. He focuses on physical commodity and commodity derivative trading matters, commodity-linked financing transactions, and commercial transactions involving the purchase, sale, transportation, and storage of commodities across multiple jurisdictions. His transactional experience includes M&A transactions, intermediation transactions, and secured and structured finance transactions, as well as related corporate governance, regulatory and compliance matters. Mr. Thomas also spent more than a decade at J. Aron & Company, the commodities division of Goldman Sachs, where he served for many years as a managing director and lead lawyer for that global business.
