Paul Hastings Strengthens Global Funds Practice With Addition of Joshua Cohen, Former Global Head of Alternatives Legal at JPMorgan Asset and Wealth Management

Cohen brings over 20 years of experience advising on the structuring, formation and maintenance of open- and closed-end private investment funds. He has practiced at Sidley Austin and Kirkland & Ellis and has held in-house roles as managing director and general counsel at Highbridge Capital Management and as global head of alternatives legal for JPMorgan Asset and Wealth Management.
A significant portion of Cohen’s practice focuses on providing strategic advice to asset management firms on seed capital transactions and complex minority and majority investments, as well as acquisitions and dispositions in existing firms. Since returning to private practice in 2017, he has assisted and advised on the launch of private investment funds across the alternatives spectrum for institutional sponsors and private banking organizations.
