Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP Welcomes Leading Antitrust Practitioner to Washington

Solomon is a prominent antitrust practitioner who advises clients on domestic and global merger clearance, complex antitrust investigations and non‑merger conduct matters. He joins Paul, Weiss as a partner in the Antitrust Practice.
Solomon has counseled on significant and complex transactions across industries including pharmaceuticals, healthcare, technology, chemicals and consumer products. He regularly represents clients before the Federal Trade Commission and the U.S. Department of Justice and develops strategies to secure merger clearances across jurisdictions worldwide.
Notable representations cited include work for Aetna in connection with its sale to CVS Health; Shire on its acquisition by Takeda; and AstraZeneca, Bristol Myers Squibb and GSK plc on various transactions. His other matters include representing ICM Partners on its acquisition of Creative Artists Agency, Campbell Soup in connection with its acquisition of Sovos Brands, and Nuvei on its acquisition of Paya Holdings. Solomon has also led large‑scale conduct investigations and litigations, including a recent impact litigation for Syngenta.
Solomon has received recognition from Chambers USA for Antitrust in Washington, D.C., and from Legal 500 U.S. as a Next Generation Partner for Antitrust: Merger Control; he was also previously named a D.C. Rising Star by the National Law Journal.
He earned his J.D. from UC Berkeley School of Law, where he was elected to the Order of the Coif and served as Senior Notes and Comments Editor of the California Law Review. He holds an M.A. and a B.A., summa cum laude, in English Literature from Emory University.
