Paul Hastings bolsters Charlotte Fund Finance team with hires from Cadwalader, Mayer Brown and Haynes Boone

"Paul Hastings expands its Charlotte Fund Finance team, adding partners and of counsel from Cadwalader, Mayer Brown and Haynes Boone to strengthen its fund finance practice."

Danyeale Chung, Olivia Stewart, Brian Kettmer, Matt Downer and Meghan O’Reilly have joined Paul Hastings LLP as members of its Charlotte Fund Finance team, alongside earlier Haynes Boone additions Holly Loftis, Aleksandra (Aleks) Kopec and Mark Nesdill.

From Cadwalader, partner Danyeale Chung and partners Olivia Stewart and Brian Kettmer join Paul Hastings. Chung represents large lenders in structuring, negotiating, documenting and syndicating multijurisdictional and multicurrency subscription facilities and other lending arrangements, often for top-tier sponsors; she previously practiced with Holly Loftis at both Cadwalader and Mayer Brown. Stewart, named a Fund Finance Rising Star by the Fund Finance Association, represents banks and financial institutions as lenders and lead agents in structuring, negotiating and documenting subscription credit facilities, NAV-based facilities, hybrid facilities, umbrella facilities, subordinated tranche facilities, term loan facilities and other adjacent fund financing transactions for private equity funds. Kettmer advises banks and financial institutions on a broad range of subscription-based financing solutions for private equity funds, including structuring and negotiating revolving credit facilities, term loans, umbrella facilities, NAV-based lending arrangements, hybrid structures, subordinated tranches, separately managed accounts and other customized fund finance products.

From Mayer Brown, of counsel Matt Downer joins Paul Hastings as of counsel. Downer focuses on fund finance and representing lenders in negotiating and documenting subscription credit facilities to private equity and real estate funds.

From Haynes Boone, of counsel Meghan O’Reilly joins Paul Hastings as of counsel, and previously announced Haynes Boone partners Holly Loftis, Aleksandra (Aleks) Kopec and Mark Nesdill—who established Paul Hastings’ Charlotte office two weeks ago—also became members of the firm. O’Reilly counsels leading commercial and investment banks and other financial institutions on fund finance and other finance transactions.
