ArentFox Schiff Adds Real Estate Partner Nicholas M. W. Hoffman in New York

Hoffman brings more than 25 years of experience structuring and closing complex financing transactions. He has led complex real estate financings across the capital stack, representing lenders and investors in multimillion- and billion‑dollar mortgage, mezzanine, preferred equity, and construction financings for major banks, private equity funds, and REITs. He also advises clients on high‑stakes restructurings and workouts, including large‑scale portfolio financings and distressed debt matters, with notable experience guiding stakeholders through sophisticated syndicated, historic tax credit, and PACE‑related structures.
Prior to his legal career, Hoffman was a senior executive at a Manhattan‑based real estate developer. That dual background provides him with strategic understanding of market dynamics and the business considerations of his clients, enabling him to guide them through intricate financing scenarios with commercial insight and efficiency.
Hoffman joins ArentFox Schiff from Haynes Boone LLP and will serve as a partner in the firm's New York Real Estate Practice Group. He is a frequent speaker at the annual NY iGlobal Summits and has been a guest lecturer at the Shack Institute of Real Estate at New York University.
