Ashurst appoints Amelia Morgan as partner to bolster Australian M&A practice

Amelia is an experienced adviser on public and private M&A and corporate advisory matters, with a reputation for technical excellence and client focus. Her clients include large ASX-listed companies and private capital-backed investors across the financial services, energy, consumer and technology sectors. She has played a lead role on significant Australian M&A matters, including acting as lead partner for RACWA on its proposed A$1.35 billion general insurance partnership with IAG, acting for CBA on the sale of Commonwealth Private's personal advice business, and advising on Ampol's proposed A$1.1 billion acquisition of EG Australia and CSR’s A$4.3 billion acquisition by Saint-Gobain.
She will join Ashurst from Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer and will be based in Sydney. Amelia joins Ashurst as a partner. She is co-editor of Bootmakers. Boards and Rogues and has contributed to leading publications on takeovers and insider trading.
