Diamantatos represents organizations and individuals in trial work, complex civil litigation, government and internal investigations, and securities enforcement proceedings, including white-collar crime, litigation arising from government investigations and qui tam litigation. He also regularly advises clients on regulatory compliance matters. His experience spans multiple industries, including retail, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, medical devices and financial services. He is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers.
Before entering private practice, Diamantatos served as a federal prosecutor in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Illinois, where he was a first‑chair trial lawyer handling high‑profile matters involving terrorism, racketeering, extortion, corruption, obstruction and civil rights violations. He also served as lead appellate counsel for the government on nine appeals before the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Second and Seventh Circuits and served in the Financial Crimes and Special Prosecutions Section and the Public Corruption and Organized Crime Section, completing his prosecutorial career in the latter.
Diamantatos joins King & Spalding from Morgan Lewis, where he served as managing partner of the firm’s Chicago office and co‑leader of the global White Collar Litigation & Government Investigations practice.
