Greenberg Traurig Expands Gaming Practice with Sean McGuinness and Danielle Oberlander Silvestri

Sean McGuinness joins Greenberg Traurig as a shareholder. A gaming regulatory practitioner with more than 35 years of experience across various U.S. jurisdictions, he advises commercial gaming operators, sports betting companies, tribal gaming entities, and financial institutions on regulatory, licensing, and compliance matters. McGuinness also handles gaming cross-border matters, has been active in international gaming law organizations, and is a frequent presenter and author on gaming regulatory topics. His background includes prior in-house and government roles, notably as vice president and general counsel of The Resort at Summerlin and as compliance director of the Mississippi Gaming Commission. He most recently joins from Butler Snow LLP. McGuinness earned a J.D., an M.A., and a B.A. from Drake University and is admitted to practice in Colorado, Iowa, Mississippi, and Nevada.
Danielle Oberlander Silvestri joins Greenberg Traurig as an associate based in the Las Vegas office. She is a gaming regulatory practitioner with experience in the Nevada gaming industry. Oberlander Silvestri earned a J.D. from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas William S. Boyd School of Law and a B.A. from Grinnell College and is admitted to practice law in Nevada.
