Dentons appoints Sydney partner Jonathan Stafford to strengthen construction and infrastructure capability

Jonathan Stafford has joined Dentons in Sydney as a Partner in the firm’s Construction team.

Based in Sydney, Stafford brings more than 20 years of experience advising on construction and infrastructure law. His practice covers contract drafting and negotiation, project structuring, procurement, risk management and regulatory compliance. He has worked on major projects across transport, energy, telecommunications, health, education and retail sectors.

Stafford also offers practical industry insight from extended secondments in senior legal and commercial roles. His collaborative approach, and his experience working closely with clients’ legal, commercial and technical teams, support tailored solutions at every stage of a project.

Dentons’ Australia Chair and Australasia Region CEO Amber Warren said the appointment underscores the firm’s strategic focus on sectors that drive Australia’s growth, and Dentons Partner and Head of Construction, Planning, Government and Real Estate in Australia Marcus Graham said Stafford’s experience adds significant depth to the team.
