Morrison Foerster Expands Los Angeles Office with M&A Partner Paul Lin and Complex Litigation Partner Hyongsoon Kim

Paul Lin joins Morrison Foerster as a partner in the Mergers + Acquisitions Group. He brings extensive experience in cross-border corporate transactions, M&A/takeovers and corporate finance and routinely serves as outside general counsel for clients in commercial disputes. Lin joins from another leading global law firm, where he served as head of its Irvine, California office. His clients range from multinational public corporations and Chinese state-owned enterprises to privately held businesses and family offices, and span industries including technology, consumer products, infrastructure and city development, automotive, green energy and biotech.
Hyongsoon Kim joins Morrison Foerster as a partner in the Complex Litigation + Advisement Group. He brings significant experience defending clients in complex commercial litigation with a substantial focus on high-value class actions and product liability matters. Kim has defended clients against class actions, mass torts and product liability matters in state and federal courts throughout the United States and led the consumer class action practice at his prior firm. He joins from another leading global law firm, where he served as head of the California Litigation Group. His experience spans industries including electronics and digital platforms, automotive, medical, oil and gas, retail and food and beverage.
Lin and Kim have worked closely over the last decade, with Kim acting as litigation counsel for Lin’s clients, and their arrivals underscore the continued strategic expansion of Morrison Foerster’s Los Angeles office.
