McGuireWoods Associate Cort Thompson Joins Barings as Director and Assistant General Counsel for U.S. Funds
"Cort Thompson joins Barings as director and assistant general counsel for U.S. funds. He moves from McGuireWoods, where he worked on private fund formation, structuring and operation, and will advise on public and private fund offerings."
Since joining McGuireWoods in December 2024, Thompson represented investment managers and other sponsors in the formation, structuring and operation of private funds and related products. At Barings, Thompson will advise on public and private fund offerings. He joins Barings with the seniority of director and assistant general counsel, having been an associate at McGuireWoods.
