Michelle Lange Joins Dykema as Government Policy Advisor in Lansing

Lange joins Dykema after seven years with the Michigan Department of Technology, Management and Budget (DTMB), where she most recently served as Director for more than four years. She brings more than 20 years of experience across state government, higher education, and legislative affairs, and has served in senior roles in the Executive Office of Governor Rick Snyder, the Michigan Senate, and as State Relations Director at Oakland University. As Director of DTMB, Lange oversaw the department’s $1.7 billion budget and led a portfolio that included the State of Michigan’s enterprise IT services, facilities and real estate operations, and a significant contracts portfolio.
At Dykema, Lange will focus on state and local procurement advocacy and on behalf of clients working with state agencies. Her experience navigating complex procurement systems and longstanding relationships across state agencies and executive offices will inform her work advising clients on identifying opportunities, managing risk, and advancing strategic objectives. Lange holds a J.D. and a B.A. in Political Science from Michigan State University.
