Browne Jacobson appoints Christian Major and Phil James as Partners in London

Christian Major joins Browne Jacobson from K&L Gates and enters the firm as a Partner in the London office. His practice spans the full spectrum of real estate investment and occupier work, advising on acquisitions, disposals, development, leasing and asset management. He has particular strength serving corporate occupiers and acts for finance houses, technology companies and fashion brands on complex headquarters establishments, operations and expansion. He is recognised as a Leading Partner for real estate in The Legal 500 UK.
Phil James joins Browne Jacobson from Eversheds Sutherland, where he served as Head of UK Data, Privacy and Cybersecurity, and joins Browne Jacobson as a Partner. He will co-lead the firm’s International Data, Privacy & Cybersecurity group and Co-Head the International Data Group alongside Jeanne Kelly. With over 25 years’ experience, his practice covers data protection, cybersecurity, AI and fraud prevention, handling complex cross-border mandates and advising on privacy governance, regulatory compliance, incident response, risk management, product counselling and commercial data strategy.
