McDermott Will & Schulte appoints Kristina Nordlander as partner in European Antitrust team
"Kristina Nordlander joins McDermott Will & Schulte in London as a partner in its Antitrust practice, bringing 20+ years' experience in EU antitrust, merger control, state aid and digital markets."
Nordlander brings more than two decades of experience advising on high-profile EU antitrust, merger control and state aid matters, with particular emphasis on the technology and life sciences sectors. She joins McDermott from A&O Shearman and previously served as global antitrust co‑head at Sidley Austin. She has practised in London, Brussels and New York.
Her record includes representation before the European Commission and the Court of Justice of the EU, and advisory work on merger control and regulatory issues arising from acquisitions, collective damages proceedings before the UK Competition Appeal Tribunal, and precedent-setting EU state aid litigation. In recent years her practice has focused extensively on digital markets, online platforms and the implications of the EU's Digital Markets Act. Nordlander is also a longstanding leader in the antitrust community: she founded the Women's Competition Network, serves as an officer of the IBA Antitrust Committee, acts as an NGA to the International Competition Network and has been recognised as a Global Elite Thought Leader in GCR's Women in Antitrust.
