Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney Adds Two Tax Shareholders in Washington, D.C. Office

Mario de Castro joins Buchanan as a shareholder in the tax practice. He advises globally active enterprises and closely held family businesses on tax and related international business and federal regulatory matters. Previously he served as co-chair of the tax section at a full-service mid-Atlantic regional law firm and was resident in that firm’s Washington, D.C. office. His experience includes inbound and outbound international tax planning and structuring, pre-acquisition planning, supply chain planning, and advising on tax and corporate regulatory matters for clients across market segments including private equity, real estate, technology, fintech, bio-life, cryptocurrency, and defense and service firms.
Nicole Vorrasi joins Buchanan as a shareholder in the tax practice. She focuses on tax matters related to mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, financings and third-party co-investment arrangements, as well as securities offerings and associated tax planning for public and private multinational corporations, closely held companies, S corporations, limited liability companies, partnerships and nonprofit organizations, with an emphasis on private equity funds and their portfolio companies. With more than 20 years of experience, she also counsels clients on integration, operational and compliance issues, manages complex foreign and domestic tax audits, and represents clients before the IRS, federal agencies and courts.
