Ecija appoints Iván Azinovic as partner to lead real estate practice
"Ecija hires Iván Azinovic as partner to head its real estate practice; he will work on real estate investment, urban development, construction and asset structuring, joining from EY."
A lawyer with more than thirty years of experience in the real estate market, Azinovic has advised on significant transactions and projects related to real estate investment, urban development, construction and the corporate structuring of real estate assets for both domestic and international investors. He was formerly at EY and has experience from law firms such as Gómez-Acebo & Pombo. Azinovic holds a Law degree from Universidad Complutense and a master’s in Private International and Banking Law from the Washington College of Law.
Ecija said his arrival strengthens a strategic practice at a time of renewed real estate investment and changing asset-use models—living, logistics, data centres and hospitality—as well as increasing regulatory and urban planning complexity that affects project profitability and structuring. Ecija CEO Alejandro Touriño added that the addition of Iván Azinovic and his team represents a very significant step for the firm’s real estate practice, enhancing its ability to advise on high-value transactions in a key sector for clients.
