DWF appoints Ed Williams as partner to strengthen public sector disputes in Leeds
"DWF has hired Ed Williams as a partner in its Leeds disputes practice to develop its national public sector disputes offering, focusing on public-private disputes, procurement challenges and tech disputes."
Ed specialises in resolving disputes between public and private sector bodies, including complex contractual disputes, procurement challenges and technology disputes. He brings over 15 years of experience and has acted on high-value and strategically important disputes for public and private clients across central and local government, TMT, defence, health-tech, education, transport and infrastructure. He has advised on high-profile procurement challenges for contracting authorities, national infrastructure and utility providers and government suppliers, provided urgent risk mitigation advice after major incidents, and supported government suppliers on high-value defence and technology contracts.
Ed joins DWF from DAC Beachcroft, where he was a partner. At DWF he will join at partner level and focus on developing a national public sector disputes practice, working closely with colleagues across the firm’s Procurement Centre of Excellence and wider public sector teams to provide joined-up contentious and non-contentious support to clients.
His appointment follows other recent senior hires at DWF and reflects the firm’s ongoing focus on attracting experienced partners to grow its commercial services practice.
