Emily Crim has joined Fox Rothschild’s Washington, DC office as counsel in the Taxation & Wealth Planning Department.

Crim counsels high-net-worth individuals and families on estate planning to preserve, increase and transfer wealth. She prepares estate and tax planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, irrevocable life insurance trusts, grantor retained annuity trusts and family limited liability companies. Crim also advises fiduciaries, trustees and family members in the administration and settlement of trusts and estates, assisting with probate court proceedings and the preparation of estate, gift and fiduciary income tax returns. Additionally, she guides private foundations and public charities on entity formation, corporate governance, obtaining federal and state tax-exempt status, drafting operational policies, and compliance with grantmaking and fundraising requirements. Crim is co-author of the Bloomberg Tax Management Portfolio 488-3rd, “Fiduciary Duties of Nonprofit Directors and Officers.”

Crim earned her J.D. from Boston University School of Law and her B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin. Prior to joining Fox Rothschild, she was an associate at Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney.
