Chiomenti strengthens Intellectual Property department with Lydia Mendola and her team

"Chiomenti hires Lydia Mendola as a new partner in its Intellectual Property practice, joining with a team of three professionals to strengthen IP and industrial property services."

Lydia Mendola and a team of three professionals are joining Chiomenti, with Mendola entering the firm as a new partner in the Intellectual Property department.

Lydia Mendola has more than 25 years of experience in intellectual property. She joins Chiomenti from Portolano Cavallo, where she had worked since 2016 after eight years at the then Allen & Overy. Her practice covers the full spectrum of IP with a cross-sector approach spanning media, digital technologies, luxury and life sciences. Over the course of her career she has developed consolidated experience in litigation concerning trademarks, patents, designs, copyright and trade secrets, and she has also worked on innovative issues related to blockchain and crypto assets.

Her arrival, together with a team of three professionals, is intended to further strengthen Chiomenti’s presence in the area of intellectual and industrial property and to broaden the firm’s offering of highly specialised services to support the protection and enhancement of clients’ intangible assets in increasingly complex and evolving markets. Managing partners Filippo Modulo and Gregorio Consoli commented that Mendola’s appointment confirms the firm’s long‑term growth strategy and will significantly reinforce its IP capabilities.
