Ashurst appoints Luca Lo Pò as partner in Milan to strengthen financial regulation and capital markets practice

Luca Lo Pò joins Ashurst as a partner in the firm’s financial regulation and capital markets practice. He has extensive experience advising banks, investment funds, financial intermediaries and other financial institutions on regulatory matters related to MiFID II, AIFMD and UCITS, market abuse regulation, short selling, banking (including CRR and CRD), payment services regulation, anti-money laundering and insurance. His expertise also covers financial markets and corporate finance transactions, including fund formation matters, equity capital markets transactions such as IPOs and capital increases, M&A transactions involving or by regulated entities and listed companies, and domestic and international issuances of bonds, structured products and subordinated debt securities, including AT1 and Tier 2 instruments. Luca is dually qualified to practice in Italy and in England and Wales. Before joining Ashurst, he was the Italian and European head of the financial regulation and capital markets practice at another leading international firm.
