Norton Rose Fulbright expands business practice with five partners in St. Louis and Chicago

In St. Louis, Andrew Smolik joins Norton Rose Fulbright as a partner. He advises public and private clients on acquisitions, divestitures and ongoing outside general counsel representation. Earlier in his career Smolik served as General Counsel to the Missouri Department of Economic Development and as a Senior Associate for Missouri Technology Corporation. He is licensed in Missouri.
Also joining in St. Louis as a partner, Michael Flood advises healthcare providers, investors and other stakeholders on regulatory and transactional matters, including structuring, assessing and executing healthcare M&A and financing transactions in compliance with federal and state regulations, change of ownership requirements and fraud and abuse laws. He is licensed in Missouri, Illinois and the District of Columbia.
In Chicago, Seth Aigner joins Norton Rose Fulbright as a partner and provides counsel to senior secured lenders and borrowers on leveraged buyouts, recapitalizations, restructurings and workouts of distressed credits, as well as asset-based facilities and other business loans. He also represents junior lenders and borrowers on a range of commercial loan transactions. He is licensed in Illinois.
Virginia Duong becomes a partner in the Chicago office, advising on transactional tax matters including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and restructurings, and assisting clients with negotiating, documenting and consummating transactions involving corporate and flow-through entities. She is licensed in Illinois, Missouri and Colorado.
Gordon Klein joins the Chicago office as a partner advising public and private clients on mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments and other corporate matters. He represents institutional investors, portfolio companies and strategic clients in structuring and negotiating complex transactions, including acquisitions, divestitures and leveraged buyouts. He is licensed in Illinois, the District of Columbia and Colorado.
