GvW Graf von Westphalen appoints Dr Jan Fürbaß as associate partner in financing and restructuring

The 36-year-old Dr Fürbaß specialises in financing and restructuring. He advises companies, banks, financial institutions and other lenders on the structuring, implementation and negotiation of national and international financing. His practice also focuses on (financial) restructuring, advising financial creditors and debtors in economic crisis situations, with particular expertise in cross-border restructuring and reorganisation processes.
Dr Fürbaß most recently worked for a boutique law firm in Munich and before that spent many years at Hogan Lovells. He joins GvW Graf von Westphalen at the seniority of associate partner.
GvW colleagues noted the strategic fit of his expertise: Andrea Torka highlighted his proficiency across corporate, project and real estate financing, while Dr Wolfram Desch emphasised that his experience will enable the firm to expand restructuring and reorganisation services, particularly at the interface with insolvency.
