K&L Gates Welcomes Huberta Chow as Asset Management Partner in Hong Kong

Huberta Chow has joined global law firm K&L Gates as a partner in the Asset Management and Investment Funds (AMIF) practice in the firm's Hong Kong office. She joins K&L Gates from Broadfield.

With nearly two decades of experience advising leading asset managers and institutional investors, Chow specialises in structuring and restructuring private investment funds and alternative arrangements across multiple jurisdictions. She has advised more than 100 fund managers and investors, designing legal structures that align with client objectives and ensure regulatory compliance while supporting long-term growth potential.

Chow’s practice spans hedge funds, private equity, hybrid funds, funds-of-funds and co-investment arrangements, with experience in the Cayman Islands, Hong Kong, Jersey and other key jurisdictions. Her clients have included sovereign wealth funds, government authorities, investment banks, financial institutions and prominent asset managers. She is recognised for delivering practical, cost-effective solutions on complex multijurisdictional matters.

Chow also contributed to framing Hong Kong’s domestic private fund legislation and to the drafting of the Limited Partnership Funds Ordinance (Cap. 637). She is admitted as a solicitor in England & Wales and in Hong Kong and is fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese.

Chow joins K&L Gates as a partner in the AMIF practice, further strengthening the firm’s capacity to deliver coordinated, cross-border fund and asset management advice across Asia.
